@tidsguiden for real though isn't Nightcore just taking a track and speeding it up by 200% or some guff?
and that's literally it? There's no other process to it? no other mastering or remixing or processing???
@tidsguiden yeah I just looked it up, apparently when it first started it was more than just speeding and pitchshifting the track up, but in the big 2010 popularity wave everyone just did the bare minimum effort and put them up as "remixes" leading to a massive glut of what is basically the internet equivalent of holding fastforward and play on a tape player as a kid.
SOME Nightcore producers do change it slightly.
Read, layer some synths on top to make it fit better with the genre of EDM.
Still would be copyright infringment, though.
