I've been reading the book Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda (book that Love Simon was based on) and its kinda uncomfortably cis. Like theres a bit where simon is talking about doing cross dressing as a kid, and hes sure to reassure the reader that he doesnt want to be a girl, and it kinda puts a bad taste in my mouth.

@audrey reading things like that makes me so sad... like, they're so wrapped up in this appearing macho bullshit that they're "just into crossdressing" like they think that's less "weird" and less "wrong" than being trans...
... it makes me wonder if they were trans, but someone, or something horrid, or many things or people that were horrid, made them hide it away and crush it down, forcing themselves to live a lie...

I mean Simon is a fictional character so he can't be trans or cis unless someone decides thats how they interpret him.
