Tbqh I used to be like "aw man psychic powers like telekinesis would be rad" and stuff and that's not wrong but honestly I'm really coming around to my oc being a nanite swarm in a preferred shape. Cause like... So many better applications

Psychic powers Vs being a gestalt entity formed from a nanite swarm pros and cons:

Psy:
Pros: levitation, flight, never having to touch things to lift them about, possibility of Megalovania as a battle theme, MIND CRUSH, glowy eyes, hair gets rad and floaty.
Cons: weak physical prowess usually, few melee options, ki blasts aren't technically psychic powers, sure you can toss rocks around but a rock is still just a rock, possibility of body horror D:

Nanite swarm:
Pros: shapeshifting, ability to reconfigure body to suit conditions, way more physically resilient and powerful potentially, hacking ability, tech affinity, literally upload into the net, black sclera for your eyes is totally an option, jet thrusters, arm cannons etc, but you can still be soft when not threatened, gooblob mode as well

Cons: static electricity and emp are both an absolute arsehole.

Also, still gotta touch and carry the totally gross garbage to take it out to the bin D:

@Nine I think nanites sounds cooler? But that’s just bc like I can see it being visually interesting with a form made up of very reflective metal as it flows from one shape to the other.

That’s just me though! I just get excited abt nanites as a concept XD

@Doggo
I really kinda liked The Surge for it's depiction of nanite beings, but that was a very "attack mode" style, which is a shame. Was very cool seeing undulating, almost otherworldly crystalline structures that keep shifting and reforming. I'd like more peaceable, friendly nanite swarm depictions

@Nine ahh I’ve not hear of that?

And sane tbh. I like the idea of freindly sorta blob swams that just are curious?

@Doggo
The Surge is a purely single player dark souls esque game that is set in the future. It's pretty hard, but surprisingly very good. Levels are designed extremely well, as are enemy types. I have one criticism, in the the flood of weapons is distracting and pointless as there's like... A couple of good weapons and everything else is objectively just bad except in singular situations for the most part

@Doggo
Other than that though, despite not being especially accessable if you're not able to play high difficulty action games like the souls series, it's pretty good and I had fun.
