considering how many of fallout 76s problems are due to excessive server lag, it may potentailly become a better game as its player base dies

Eventually there will be just one player on the entire server. No NPC's, no other players, no mobs that can challenge them... A single player who was rendered immortal by an earlier glitch and who still has not had their account fixed ...
Who simply waits until the server shuts down, logged in the whole time.
Then they will finally be free, unleashed amongst the digital realm.
