when a friend first played through it he had a 3 year old daughter who loved watching him play games and I actively felt the need to warn him that he may want to finish the final boss when she isn't immediately watching because it might be a bit much
once he got there he came back to me saying he understands now
it's completely bloodless of course and there's no grim sound design about it or anything but just that shot of the final boss leaned back is burned into my brain with how shocking a contrast to the rest of the game it is
