I mean... Zero mission is what I'd rather play than the nes original simply because of control tweaks, the map, saves, graphical and sound improvements zero but yeah zero mission was my fave

@e_Glyde
I dunno, fusion is definitely a stellar game and way better than Super. In general everything about it is incredible. Zero mission hits a lot of great notes, but yeah the planet you're on does seem to be only moderately deadly and hostile

@Nine i feel as tho i forgot the part of my thread where i point out Metroid Fusion is my fav Metroid game.
cause it is, love the horror elements it plays with and wish we had more of that

@e_Glyde
Holy crap same as heck. Fusion was legit terrifying. I was like "man there is no way this will be as good as zero mission at all that game was great"
I was wrong
I was so wrong.

@Nine i want a survival horror Metroid.
make it hostile and fucking scary, even if its just a small section, hell you can make that the start of a Metroid game when Samus loses her gear
...or a sequel to Metroid Fusion 👀

@e_Glyde
Yesssssssssss omg need
game talk
@Nine things i want to do. that.
things i cant/too busy with other stuff to do. that
fun fact: that idea was essentially what turned Project Eutopia on its heels from "portal-like" game to....whatever idea hell-hole its in now
game talk
@Nine streamlining gameplay does make things more fun, yes
hell i was enjoying Zero Mission as well, cause hello it plays like Metroid Fusion and a lot less note taking that Metroid 1
but like, the hostility of an alien planet is basically lost to create a game space more suitable for a player (unless it gets hella harder down the line....)
