i have revised my opinion on quake 2.
gameplay's fun as heck. gunplay feels amazing, sound design is way better than Quake 1 (seriously what was up with the shotguns in quake 1 sounding... anaemic at best. The guns in Q2 all sound far meatier and chunkier. The Orks would be proud. proper dakka.), Sonic Mayhem's music is pretty much awesome as heck for it too. The game feels and plays way better than its predecessor. also I don't have to be HURRRRGHANGRYMARIIINE

@pup_hime that's fair! I just played through quake 1 in its entirety so I still had fun with it obviously and all its low poly goodness. I think I just prefer the weapons, enemies and ai of q2 more. I... Wait. Crap. I forgot I have the quake 1 mission packs as well that I've never played. Heck
