review for people looking to read a trash book: this has its bright spots, but compared to the best so-bad-its-good book ive ever read, Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff (2018) by Sean Penn, this is a truly excruciating read. just get someone to pick out the good bits for you, unless you're truly passionate about bad writing

like i said, this book has some SPECTACULAR bright spots (we've all read that one sex scene, for example), but they are too few and too far between. 70% of this book is the worst thing a badly written book can be: boring. most striking is that the book shows distinctive signs of padding (a scene happens twice, for no reason), which was clearly added to get it over the 100-page mark, which is just sad
