what if internet and modems and computers but all powered by like... pistons and internal combustion engine type stuff, so like your modem connects but has to rev itself up to get enough speed and your connection LITERALLY throttles up like a motorbike.
...actually no that'd be horridly polluting and also exceptionally noisy.
