re: brain is being weird, please ignore this silliness with words
@Felthry I was wondering bout this. I remember years and years ago when I was like... 8 or something and I was just... sat in our living room on my own and mum was in the kitchen and I suddenly thought of the word mushroom and
... I ended up just sitting there spacing out going "mushroom" to myself over and over, quietly, sounding the word out. I knew what mushrooms were but... I dunno, the word just caught me for some reason.

@Nine I think it's common for people to suddenly have a word go weird and lose its meaning for a bit, but not quite like that?
Are the mental images pleasant?

sometimes it's slightly distressing like I can't stop syaing the word over and over even though I know this happens and sometimes the wor djust... becomes noise.

@BatElite maybe i just learned to suppress it more. I think... honestly I was taught to suppress a lot of things. I have this vague memory of being in trouble because I was at some kind of... youth activity thing???? somewhere else? (I was like.. i dunno, super young) and I just ... couldn't that day, and just lay down under a table for a while not wanting to interact, then got told I couldn't beon the floor, so lay ON the table.
