Sigourney Weaver very nearly lost her role in that film because, techincally, of Jonesy the cat.

She was having a massive allergic reaction during filming when she started, and they thought it was the cat. Because the cat was specifically trained, it was far cheaper to replace her than the cat.
Luckily it was the synthetic sweat they were using that caused the reaction, not the cat!
