finally reached xen in half life

gotta be real fucking honest yall, the entirety of the lambda core chapter sucks major ass

@pupy isnt it mostly just like going back and forward to the same bit, except you don't even get to switch on the fuel & oxygen and nuke a tentacle

@jk either youre thinking of a different chapter or black mesa (the shiny remake) removed the tentacle as part of their change ups

@pupy @jk nah the tentacle in Blast Pit is very much still there,. but they DID remove the random tentacles from like, a desert area a while AFTER that bit.

thats near to the start of the game, im talking the chapter right before you get teleported to xen

@pupy @jk I just caught up on the thread and I know what you mean and yeah... Out of the entirety of Black Mesa, that bit is... the least fun. Silver lining, it's one relatively short bit, as opposed to an entire chapter of the damn game (Xen) that sucks. So. You know... Kind of an improvement I guess.

Still maybe that bit coulda been worked on some more to make it less... "so here's a bunch of teleports where you don't know where you're going to end up exactly. GOOD LUCK (you'll need it)"

@Nine @pupy I had pretty much forgotten the teleporter nonsense and now I remember that being the only part of the game that I found frustratingly unenjoyable, Xen is bad but mostly because it's boring and ugly and doesn't have any of the fun parts of the game the earlier chapters did?

@jk @Nine i can at least confirm that xen in black mesa (remake) is gorgeous
