Rare griping about my parents moment 1

fucksake why is my mum so bloody oblivious.

So, she wants a vintage Brexton 1950s picnic hamper, and she found one on ebay that she wants, and she paid for it, but the seller returned the money because he lives like 30 miles north of Sheffield, where I live, and she's down in Guildford, and he doesn't wanna post this thing (understandable, it's fragile, heavy as fuck, and an antique) to her.

@Nine What exactly is a picnic hamper?

@Felthry to be fair, I didn't know until I looked it up today but it's one of these i.etsystatic.com/13128398/r/il

like, a full cutlery, plate setting, flask and container set for having a picnic. I guess they're like... all the rage or something back then? I dunno. they seem awkward and annoying to me.

@Nine why would you call that a hamper anyway

it's more like a briefcase

@Felthry you're absolutely right, but i guess that's just what people call hampers or some such. I don't get it myself either. it's weird. people are weird.
