realising I have no idea what the fuck i am doing with pcs now because tech has moved on yet again and I am like "?????????????"
@matoakit Oh no those I could handle. When things really started going wrong was when what type of harddrive you had could cause instability issues because apparently Western Digital "Bigfoot" drives just Did Not Play Well with other drives apparently lol.
@Nine the old days where hard drives had jumper pins?
I have a 5 1/4" IDE bigfoot that still powers up and reads, but I don't actually use it for anything.
@matoakit a very small part of me still misses drive jumper settings.
Thankfully it's a very tiny part that doesn't deserve to be listened to because modern times are way better and there is no such thing as "the good old days"
@Nine Yup, just the old days.
I had actually written good old days and removed good before sending lol
SATA has been so much easier, smaller cables and easier configuration
@Nine at least it's not AT power supplies and 3.5" drives anymore.
