hmmmmm for this new pc do i go gtx 1660 Super (good value, great performance for a non RTX card, especially for its sub-£250 price - usually goes for around £200) or do I splash out on an RTX card? which will cost around about £300-£400?
@gulfie graphics card notation confuses me heck
@gulfie also wait hold up. so... 30 is the series number. like the 9 in 970.
60 is... upper mid range? usually for Geforce??
>60 is high range, <50 is lower end usually if I recall.
...
did they not release a mid-range before the high end and low end??... nvidia what in the balls
@gulfie though if rumours are correct that it's coming out mid november, yeah I might wait for the 3060 too come to think of it. :o it's the same price as the 1660 Super thereabouts and will prolly have better specs.
@Nine the 30xx cards are absolute beasts for rendering stuff in Blender which is helping me wait lol
@Nine If you can afford an RTX, then I'd go for it, even if you don't really use the raytrace features. It just makes sense to future proof for when games can look nicer when using RTX features for other effects. (if that happens)
@Nine personally I am waiting for the 3060 to be inevitably announced before buying a new card, people speculate it will be around £250.
