@Cynder I did enjoy the few hours I played of it but it is firmly not what I would describe as a good game
@outie @Cynder I'm with Florian on this one. It was nowhere near as good as hyped, and honestly Dying Light does what it does but way better, and is way more fun, even if it is exceptionally White Saviour: The Game, and also has a very John Videogames protagonist (and a set of QTE sequences for a final boss, like, god, fuck, why, why would you do this, god. ugh.)... and also the one mod that would make me play it (Fist of the North Star mod for Dead Island) doesn't add the music ;w;
@Cynder @outie Oh yeah that's fair. I was having a pretty good time with Dead Island myself until I had weapons literally just... vanish from my inventory entirely at random. just... friggin GONE. They were good weapons too, and I'd just found them, but nope, all gone, just vanished at random suddenly. (also the kicking being basically unstoppable if time consuming was auughhh)
@Nine @outie Make no mistake, I am not defending the game in the least. We were thoroughly disappointed when we played it. But we had a (admittedly less than, looking back) decent enough time with it.
Not to mention, the only black character was a cop.
