The strong aversion to toe socks is, I think, evidence of an opposite of trypophobia. Exonkomaphobia, a fear of protuberances

@Nine No I mean people who have a strong negative reaction to even seeing pictures of them. My theory is that the sight of non-fleshy toes protruding from the body can evoke the same kind of body horror that trypophobes get from clusters of holes
