how the fuck did katara know what an air bender looked like? its been 100 years since anyone saw an airbender.
@ducki I was like, under the impression that the fire nation wiping out the air nation was such a big thing that everyone worked to make sure it was never forgotten, so I'm pretty sure she heard about them from her grandma etc.
@ducki True, though that said 100 years is... not actually a huge amount of time all things considered. It sure SEEMS like a long time but... there are people still alive who were born 100 years ago. (very few but even so). Given the healing abilities easily accessable with water-bending, it's reasonable to presume that water tribe people tend to be more long-lived than Fire Nation or Earth Nation folks-...

@Nine Yeah I get that too but given how the northern water tribe acts (very isolated even from the southern water tribe) its not a far reach to say the southern water tribe was like that pre invasion. People have ignored actions like these before. Maybe they didnt want to get involved. But i mean i can understand oral tradition but oral tradition is to change. someones story from 100 years ago isnt going to be the same today and is less reliant.
