I understand so little about zelda lore you could show me any character, say "This is zelda from (any 3d zelda game, just make up a title)" and I'd be forced to believe you. And if I didn't you could just say "Ah no but the timeline affects the lore" and then I'd be like "Fuck, maybe..."

@Ivafakename it's okay Brian David Gilbert did an Unravelled on the complete, and I do mean COMPLETE, Zelda Timeline, so you can get up to speed on it perfectly wtihin the space of like 20 minutes.

@Nine I've seen it! All I understand is:

  • There is a timeline,
  • It's bullshit

@Nine hasn't the official timeline changed like twice already? How does time change?

@Ivafakename *spreads hands to make a rainbow between them* Niiintendooooo

@Nine honestly I feel like most of the lore stuff should be kept private and just let the fans figure it out, just like "Oh we decided to let the fans figure out where it goes on the timeline," like don't try to guess when you don't know just lie through your teeth

@Ivafakename to be fair there's a fair bit of evidence to back up the official zelda timeline. It is kinda wild that the original two NES games are like... waaaaaaay in the future of the entire timeline, and down one of those paths, and we still have no answer as to why Breath of the Wild has elements from ALL THREE timeline splits, AND that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity introduces FURTHER timeline splits... hhhh....

@Nine yeah it's called references, story writers like to add those, back in the day they had to pick and chose what to add because of limitations, nowadays the game is so advanced you could fit like idfk 4 copies of the original zelda game for nes inside the amount of code used to make and model zelda's left tit. Like the reason it mixes all 3 timelines is because every zelda fan has a fav and if they didn't make it a part of their timeline they'd riot.

@Ivafakename for a second ther ei mixed up link and zelda in my head again and was like ":o :o :o oh man Link got her tits finally?! I'm so happy for her!"

@Nine link used to be non-binary, they used they/them pronouns so you could play as you and so girls would also be able to play

@Ivafakename this is legit true tho. I wish they'd kept to thjat instead of making link the twinkiest swordboy that ever twinked.

@Ivafakename ...i mean, nto that I MIND exactly but... y'know.

@Nine tbf we need more modern games where you name your character, like what is there, pokémon I assume... animal crossing... that's all I can think of.

@Ivafakename animal crossing needs to be remade so you don't have to be a boring ass human in them and can be a cute animal critter ;w;
