i have complicated feelings about racing games.

gran turismo? forza? DIRT? all that sorta stuff? nah not interested.

RE-Volt? Micro Machines? Outrun? Wipeout 2097? Road Rash? THAT'S What I'm talkin' about.

I want that slick arcade action!

*looks at Hotshot Racing, Slipstream, Toybox Turbos, BallisticNG, Horizon Chase Turbo, Road Redemption and RedOut in their steam games list that they actually own but basically never play*

...uhh....

*literally has RE-Volt downloaded and patched and ready to install with all the assets and everything* ...

...

shush okay?

damn did i really forget i had Rage Racer both as a physical disk I can play on my PS2 and also as an ISO on my Rpi3?

@Nine Forza Horizon 4 can be pretty fun. it's not really very realistic

@PsyChuan yeaaah it's sitll too realistic for me to be all that interested in unfortunately ^^; YEARS back I got Automodellista on the PS2, because it had cel-shaded graphics for the racing and that was like "shit that's cool as fuck I wanna try that" but I just... did not get on well with it.

@Nine You ever play Rollcage? Like Wipeout except even more fun 'cause you can drive on the ceiling. Rollcage 2 was even better. Sad it ended at 2.

@ifixcoinops I have not actually! There's a similar, more recent game though called uh... I think... GRIP or something??

@ifixcoinops Oh! Turns out GRIP: Combat Racing is quite literally a spiritual successor to Rollcage, by the original dev of the first one!
