@SilviaFox@sleeping.town RIGHT?? I mean I guess I'm thankful for it protecting me from shitbird but...

See this? This shit is plastered on top of tweetdeck no matter what and won't go away, I can't cancel it, I can only click the get me out of here button and welp that takes me to avast's storefront.

@Efi aw no I'm sorry :( *HUGS* things have been pretty bad lately and stressful and I've barely talked to anybody except the few times I've been on here, so sorry if I've come across as ignoring you ;;

oh good my Surface Pro 4 is nearly done installing updated to itself
just this one last feature update... which uh... ... hm. seems to be taking its time

@Efi I woudl also like hugs :o *hughughugghughughguhughguughugs*

... I mean I GUESS Avast is looking out for me what with blocking twitter but...

fucksake, Avast keeps blocking tweetdeck saying "this website may have harmed your computer" but gives me no option to ignore it. it wasn't doing it last night, it suddenly started now. I updated Avast, it's still doing it after a reboot. bloody damn thing.

@masklayer remember to feed and water your nikon cameras directly onto their mirror regularly

@masklayer this is the only good way to hold a nikon camera, unfettered by lenses so they can view the world untainted and pure, holding them gently so they can feel the wind upon their face, and still be safely held in your loving tender hands.

One day they may fly free, and you should be ready to let them be at one with nature again, but until them, caress and cradle them tenderly, gently, letting them know you're always there to welcome them home~

drinkies

@gdkar tired: taking 5-hour energy shots five hours apart to space them out throughout the day.
wired: drinking five 5-hour energy shots all at once so you have 25 hours worth of energy in a 5 hour timespan.
inspired: drinking 25 5-hour energy shots all at once to gO tHrOuGh TiMe!!??!?!?

disinfo

The term "log on" in technology was actually borrowed from the logging industry, where to get logs floating down the river into the sawmill, they have to be lined up precisely one by one with the sawblades - a process called "logging on" in industry jargon.

This was borrowed by early computing centers as a metaphor for users queueing up at the reception desk with requests to use the computers.

@Siphonay@octodon.social
