Wacky Wheels is such a missed opportunity by apogee. It had cute characters, and great pixelly graphics, but...

... I mean there was like, very few weapons, it was clearly a less capable ripoff of Mario Kart (granted it wasn't SkunnyKart though which was way worse and utterly forgettable), and all the characters were functionally identical. but... eh. I guess apogee wanted to ride the kart racing gravy train.

@matt I class Sonic Riders as being a 'kart' racing game in so far as you have a sorta vehicle too? but yeah Sonic R is the only one I can think of that has no vehicle (except for Amy and Eggman and gosh what are they even doing... I mean aside from 'Their Best'... You'd think Amy would bringa better car)
also Sonic Drift was a better racing game than Sonic R gameplay speaking, it felt nicer. Sonic R DID have some great features though that were very cool and the game is good, but... not great

@matt Yep! Some kinda vehicle in each of those tho so I'd class 'em under "kart racers" vaguely enough. A bike is just a kart with different spices.

(also I have Horizon Chase Turbo but it won't goddamn work on my pc which makes me saaad ;; )

really have you ever played a racing game that didn't involve gokarts or some kind of car for every character, that was at all good?

it's mee telling it to Shut Down in no uncertain terms and it powering off after doing its normal shutdown cycle...
