@najimi@hellsite.site oh it heckin' is. There's a direct sequel on the megadrive, called Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2, but there's also a game called Sparkster on the SNES.

now, Sparkster on the SNES is utterly unrelated (aside from the main character and his rival, and the basic gameplay), but despite having absolutely NO continuuity or even link to the original, it's DEFINITELY worth a play. the SNES version is pretty great tbqh.

thinking about rocket knight adventures again what a game i beat that on every difficulty except the very hardest which... I forget what it was but to access them you had to enter a code at the konami screen (only ONE of which was the konami code!) and you got these codes by completing the game on the hardest accessable difficulty level each time, which would unlock the next hardest difficulty. gosh dang. the last one was just... a one hit and you die mode. with no continues. no extra lives ._.;

really wish there was a dedicated retropie gamepad that just... worked... y'know?

...oh no I think I know why the gamepad won't connect with the rpi...

...because it keeps trying to bluetooth connect with my Surface.

because I have to use it in Xinput mode or else the Home and Star buttons don't work at all in the Rpi, despite Retropie natively supporting the 8bitdo sf30 pro, so you would think it would go "OH I know, it has these two extra buttons you can use!" but NOOOPE.
