@Felthry Oh yeah totally. I'd played 5 and 6 before and adored both, but I had no idea of the deeper systems involved in 5, like how if you master a Job, your basic "freelancer" ability gets ALL that job's passive abilities, and the passive abilities of ALL mastered jobs. meaning as the game progresses, the Freelancer class becomes progressively more and more powerful. :O
Been getting some specific tweak/bugfix/re-translation patches for FF6 and 5 today in fact. just patched them in now :D
((I absolutely WILL play it, but it's installed at least!))

@lynnesbian I hate this so fucking much, I live in an area where mobile reception is literally "are you standing in THIS EXACT SPOT in your back garden? No? NO MOBILE RECEPTION FOR YOU! oh, you are? .... eh I don't feel like it today, fuck off." and even if I DO get signal, good luck receiving the texts, and I won't be anywhere near my pc. And likely it'll time out.

this is the worst '12" extended remix' of a song that has ever been made. i mean holy shit. less of a remix and more "some guy in milton keynes with a D50 shat all over it". there's sax. there's extra drums (barely in time). there's random samples played in reverse like some kinda fucked up "View To A Kill" parody. im not surprised its rare, presumably the original (canadian?) record company made the british label destroy all copies once they heard it
Dang. Next time I visit my folks (lol if there is a point where I literally can't avoid it I guess) I'mma pick Cirno up again and bring her here to see what I can do with her. Poor old girl, she deserves a new lease of life after how badly I treated her back then.
It'd be neat if I could somehow repair her and get her working. I think her main problem was the fact there was no clip to keep the heatsink/fan on the chip and it stopped working entirely... Bet it would still boot though if I could fix that issue.
She's prolly riddled with viruses, and that case needs changing out something fierce because it has really sharp edges and tends to b ite.
I... I wonder if that old 200Mhz Cyrix pc is still at my parent's house?... ...I wonder if I could do anything neat with that?...
