@owashii@snouts.online Yeah that's not an option with the SAA. Having to manually unload each of the six bullets takes long enough that I'm pretty sure you might run out of time on the last chamber c_c;

@owashii@snouts.online hahah yeah I've taken to basically keeping the gun ENTIRELY unloaded (and double checking it too with a Press Check) unless I know there are Threat in the area, or I've not fully explored a place yet. aaaand of course completely unloading whenever there's a tape.

@owashii@snouts.online I've only ever had it block one cylinder on me before, never more than that, but... I don't mind it a LOT exactly. It's kinda annoying at times when you go to fire and *click*, but yeah.

@owashii@snouts.online Not that I've seen! I guess the SAA is just too... basic for the Threat to mess with. ^^; It also never seems to misfire? But I'm pretty sure if you leave it loaded and mess up a holster or draw your entire LEG is gone.

@owashii@snouts.online that said, you can unload and then load a round in each time really easily, it just... takes friggin forever cause you gotta manually rotate the cylinder. fff...

@owashii@snouts.online yes. where you have to cock the hammer back every time for each shot, or you can fan the hammer by holding fire and just tapping F but... it's less useful than it sounds.

Huh, turns out Doom 2 has code for horizontally sliding doors for the Wolf3d secret levels, but they commented it out.

... I think ... that's why they commented it out. For two secret levels it seems like a waste to code that in, and it looks... messy.

If at all you find yourself thinking "gosh these ideas are far too silly for my story/game/animation/comic and nobody will take it seriously" just remember that Hideo Kojima is a celebrated game writer and head of a company who literally didn't do a damn bit of research on genetics before doing the "recessive genes are worse than dominant genes" bs in MGS1 and people LAP that shit up.
