@owashii@snouts.online (realtalk I think it's really fucking adorable that if you put a couple (two to three) alpaca in a flock of sheep the sheep are just like "...oh cool there's these big weird long sheep around and they're really nice and chill" and the alpaca are like "oh cool this flock of nervous small compact alpaca are kinda cute and nice, we three should look after them", and then when predators hassle the sheep the alpaca are all "GET SOOOMEEE" and fend them off, and the sheep remain very chill)

@owashii@snouts.online excellent. this will distract them all from the fact that the REAL ones in power are a flock of sheep and a couple alpaca.

@Siphonay@octodon.social @aeonofdiscord Aaactually the NES IS in fact very nearly twice as old as the GC now :3
Release date of NES https://howlongagogo.com/date/1983/july/15

Release date of GC https://howlongagogo.com/date/2001/september/14

36 years from today vs 18 years! \o/

@aeonofdiscord @Siphonay@octodon.social It's okay the NES is still always older than the GC

@heytanuki@snouts.online CHUCK IT IN THE BOG

okay... uh... Natasha's Ghost, the band, do not... have a wikipedia page??

... the fuck??

Even the Gone Jackals have one! Even HAMMERBOX! The fuck???

@heytanuki@snouts.online welp work goes into the toilet then for evicting you from bathtime. bathtime is sacred!

...I just wish I could remember what game I heard it in, because I'm pretty sure it was from a game and I think it was some kinda racing game, or a game with driving in it... like... i dunno... Saints Row 3 or 4 or something??

song I don't like playing in Co-op today when I went to get some groceries and it keeps annoying me because it reminds me of a song I couldn't ever remember properly but know I heard because it has a similar riff on the chorus

but i tracked it down and eventually remembered it was Falling Up by Natasha's Ghost and fuck that's a tune

@dankwraith I yikesed my way through those code segements and the summary at the end, oof.

thankfully I noticed the date was from 2016 afterwards, but...

...I bet it hasn't changed in those years either, given the dev's frankly kinda childish response on reddit of all places. Ugh. D: VERY yikesy.

@Proxy@snouts.online also turns out she used her own fame and money to help elevate several other creative artists by giving them opportunities and they have all gone on to be successful in their own rights as well and just

aaaa <3 <3 <3

@Proxy@snouts.online I can totally see why! When I was younger and Bjork was new she was just "this weird icelandic girl who does strange music" and it was written off as quirky and shit but... now I can actually appreciate this sort of stuff, like... Wow. That video's really awesome and eye opening!

@Proxy@snouts.online I have never seen this video before...

...and it's actually really adorable?? like, just... friggin... lookit her go, lookit her investigate and explain that tv and "it looks like a little city" heck YEAH it does! I'm glad I'm not the only one who looks at circuit boards like that ^^
