Yakuza 7/spoilers?

@Beancatte@snouts.online same same. There's actually a lot of ps3/4 exclusive titles coming to pc lately, I mean with Annapurna Interactive porting over Journey and Flower to pc, that alone is just kinda like "yoooooooooo whaaat!" but honestly sega would be absolutely daft to not port the yakuza games to pc considering that the ports they've done so far have been really good for that series?

@jk setting up a website on the URL "iscomputerbad.com" and all it does is post a big "YES" every day.

but not automated

it's literally me running a blog site and just posting YES every day manually

Yakuza 7/spoilers?

@Beancatte@snouts.online I still have the disc. I'm tempted to pop it in and just laugh myself silly at just how BAD the original version is to play but I don't think I hate myself THAT much you know?

But yes also so glad 1-3 are being remade and 0 exists and heck maybe I'll get to play 4-6 on pc at some point! \o/

@ShinjiBikari D'va in her mech using it to pick up mecha sized handfuls of doritos and smashing them against her cockpit.

Yakuza 7/spoilers?

@Beancatte@snouts.online Yakuza 0 is actually my first experience with the Yakuza series in earnest. I mean, I did get the original OG Yakuza game on ps2 but could NOT get into it, or get to grips with any of the controls or the gameplay.

Got a ps4, housemate got Y0, I figured "eeeeh I'll give it a try" and oh
my
fucking god

i adored it. I adored it so much I went and BOUGHT Yakuza Kiwami 1, completed it, then got Kiwami 2. Though I've had to sell my ps4, but I got it on pc now :3

Yakuza 7/spoilers?

@Beancatte@snouts.online I keep forgetting that prior to Yakuza 0 Goro Majima was just "here's this kooky antagonist character who fights you for.... reasons???"

Guy teaching us about maintaining our swords: "So what you want to do is take this whetstone..."
me: *frowning* "...what the fuck that stone isn't even wet, the fuck is this clown about?"

oh no i just noticed something on the deathgenerator.com page and i was forced to do this

forced I say

(CW john madden's pixellated eye contact and repetition of ...w...words?? Can it be called words? Fuck you already know what this is by now, screw it... )

@Tooch My first thought when I loaded the video "...Oh right, yeah, the xbox exists doesn't it? Forgot about that"

@kevinwhipwrecked psh, as if that bloviating jockstrap could master even his own piss

Reminder that (now) Professor Katherine L. Bouman led the development of the algorithm that captured our first picture of a black hole. She wrote a dissertation on taking pictures of black holes, she wrote software to take pictures of black holes, she was the person who named the algorithm based on her work, her name was first on the paper that described the algorithm, and then her software took a picture of a black hole.

She's not an astronomer, she's a computer scientist and electrical engineer, and she isn't a lone genius doing this in a garage, she's part of a global team of people from many different disciplines. There was a dozen people contributing code to the project. But she isn't a random team member that got attention because she was cute, she is in a very direct sense responsible for creating that picture, more than Elon Musk has ever sent a rocket to space or created an electrical car.

@finn@surfin.dog @lawremipsum@mspsocial.net "mmh, quite a sweet one this, definite strong nose of honey, almost overpowering."

@codl why can i only read the phrase "Hello ____" in Dr Coomer's voice saying "Hello Gordon!"

@RC oh dang I've had the Coke energy drink and... it's...

...not horrible.

like I mean objectively energy drinks are all horrible and terrible things and most of them always taste awful too but... the coke one is dangerously tasty, you know? c_c;

@monorail @Alexis so you know, the original books are at least entertaining. the BBC Sherlock series is as if someone cosplaying as Sherlock Holmes wanted to prove that they were a genius of godlike proportions and wrote the episodes themselves with them as the author insert of sherlock

@monorail @Alexis I watched like the first season of it and was like "haha this is pretty neat I kinda like their take on it!" and... then it just... got worse. and worse.

and then I realised it had ALWAYS been that bad. after I read some of the original stories and I mean....

...friggin... Sherlock is still kinda a dick, but at least his deductions (technically actually INductive logic, not deductive? Apparently?) are set up well and shown to the readers, so they could conceivably work it out

@Alexis @monorail honestly all you have to do is add "and Sherlock comes in, does that Mind Palace bullshit, then exposits a bunch of stuff as to what the crime was, who did it and how, with clues that were NEVER SHOWN AT ALL before hand in this episode, and then sits smugly solving the case and being shit to everyone else" and boom episode of Sherlock, no matter the context.
