food hot take (joke)

@GlitterDisaster blue cheese implies the existence of a lesser, far less destructive, green cheese, and the homing red cheese.

okay so not only can Noctis warp around by throwing his weapons, which by the way he can summon out of thin air, like this boy has weaponised hammerspace to a seriously ridiculous level, but he can also suck magic out of elementally charged points, to craft into spells. something that others... can't?

and these are both abilities of the Lucian royalty?

.........

idunno that seems a li'l op tbh.

...

still love mah boy tho

@Beancatte@snouts.online this is either one of the greatest doom wads ever to exist

or one of the most cursed doom wads to ever exist...

...but is it possible...

forced surgery, sterilisation and hormone treatment / horrifying ableism

The Ashley treatment is why the term ‘baby brained’ isn’t something ND people are ‘too sensitive’ over. Because this is the kind of things that form ableism is used to justify. It’s a phrase that cannot be separated from the structural violence disabled people face.

‘Parents of a severely brain-damaged child resorted to surgery to stunt her growth and keep her body forever child-like, in a decision some ethicists have condemned as discrimination and mutilation of a disabled person.

‘Known only as Ashley, the nine-year-old girl was found to be severely brain-damaged shortly after birth. In 2004, when she was six years old, Ashley underwent surgery at a Seattle hospital to prevent her from growing to a normal adult size and state of development, the Associated Press reported.‘

Six years old. Surgery for the benefit of her parents abled comfort.

‘Claiming the decision was made for Ashley’s benefit, her parents had her uterus and breast buds removed and her growth artificially halted through large doses of hormones.’

Forced sterilisation. Forced surgery. Forced hormone treatment.

Finally I want to highlight this article quote.

‘“Furthermore, given Ashley’s mental age a nine and a half year old body is more appropriate and more dignified than a fully grown female body,” her parents wrote. Their statement echoed the comments of George Dvorsky, a member of the Board of Directors for the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, who wrote in a related article, “The estrogen treatment is not what is grotesque here. Rather, it is the prospect of having a full-grown and fertile woman endowed with the mind of a baby.”‘

The mind of a baby. Would an abled baby be forced into many unneeded surgeries they can’t understand because their body is grotesque to others? No. But a disabled woman can be.
Because she’s ‘Baby brained’.

(Ashley. I’m so sorry. You deserved better. )
