@BatElite kinna amused that whenever you fuck up while you are offroading and accidentally crash the car Ignis is just like "let's take that from the top" and the game just repositions the car back before you did The Thing. and lets you do The Thing again if you like and Ignis is still like "let's try that again" nice and calm the whole time like it's a driving test lol

wearing a big brightly coloured badge that says "ASK ME ABOUT GUNSTAR HEROES" where someone else has scrawled "PLEASE DON'T" above ASK in permanent marker and I have futilely tried to hide their addition with crayon

@batterpunts Timeron's whole gimmick is that it uses time manipulation to keep repositioning its bullets it fires at you in different places to fill the screen with hecka bullets and keep you dodging around.

In the second fight, you can defeat it with just a couple of shots. It's literally no challenge. HOWEVER, if you manage to survive for 100 minutes (yep, 1 hour and 40 minutes! D: ) without killing it, Timeron accepts defeat, self destructs and you get a secret message!

One of my favourite games on the Megadrive/Genesis, and in general, is Gunstar Heroes by Treasure.

It's a Contra-esque run and gun platform/shooter with lots of juicy explosions, bright colours, BIG weapons, lots of action and a great soundtrack, with a unique weapon combination system. In it, there is a boss you face twice, called Timeron - first in a standard gameplay section, and the last in a side scrolling shmup level.
