@SuperCee@plush.city GOD YES fuck this is exactly the shit that makes it so much fun like, with Luftrausers, sure, you CAN do that and because it's Vlambeer it's kinetic as fuck and feels great, but it only lasts for a bit because... y'know. Eventually it gets tiresome and you just hit a damn wall and are like "well fuck , what now?" Even if you get all the upgrades you can it's still pretty luck based.
The Dodge mechanic is so simple but it adds SO MUCH to the gameplay.
@SuperCee@plush.city like, someone clearly saw Luftrausers, and thought "Wow this is a nice techdemo lol" and actually made a GAME like it that's actually fun to play for longer than five minutes, with a story and progression and some of the raddest fuckin' music I've heard in a shmup.
