It's also got weapons like it's Wipeout or Mario Kart as well as various other game modes apparently which my first thought is "huh that seems like maybe they are shoehorning too much in at once and it might suffer because of it" but you know, it may just work after all? It certainly looks to work well enough that it's still keeping my interest and hype.

@theoutrider tbf I backed it on KS before I knew Jon Jafari was a voice actor in it, so when I heard he was I was immediately like "aw fuck", but then it was followed up by "Yeah we're getting rid of him, he's not voicing anything in our game any more, nope. not going back on that. fuck that noise".

and really, no matter how good or bad the game is, that's worth my cash at any rate... I mean I guess it helps that actually the game is kinda enjoyable from what I've played

thinkin' 'bout gigidigi's old gaming comics again because i still recommend them to anybody who's never played the metal gear solid series (up to 3 and then Portable Ops I guess?) to get a good if very satirical idea of the storyline without having to go through the games themselves which also points out just how goddamn weird and awful the story is sometimes.
