NITW Spoilery, slightly, maybe

OKay so ... I feel like Bea is the only events you should do personally, but I am trying out Gregg's events on a new playthrough and...

...Mae just... fucking, unloading on Scriggins is priceless. Just absolutely hilarious. Gregg's affirmation of "Classic" just seals the deal too.

Gregg rulz ok.

Oof, that was a hefty job, and it's not even a complete guide either. Still, here's my "Beginner's Guide" to Splinter Zone, by @MOKKA and friends!

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles

I plan on working on a strategy guide for dealing with the levels, finding secrets, beating bosses and shooting the enemies too at some point, but wow that took quite some time to put together. ^^; Feel free to comment on anything I've missed or that would be helpful to include!

@Ronflaix if you get a pair of "Beats" by Dre and break them in half does that mean you got a Boot By Dre.

Commissioned SFW Furry Art / Anthropomorphic Mantis Bug in Cute Clothing / Mention of Off-Site Artist

Here's a hella cute commission I got from @hr_banana on Birdsite!!

I love how they changed up Verdant a bit, just like I wanted. The finger/hand bits on the end are a neat addition that kind of made me learn more about mantids, myself! :o

Splinter Zone spoilery!

@MOKKA @Salith@mastodon.social (which seems to be a thing Tom Francis does tbh. Tactical Breach Wizards might be going against type for him as it actually DOES have something to do with the gameplay so far... unless he like, pulls a 180 at some point and makes an entirely different puzzle game which is based on elements from the original design but at no point has any tactical breach wizards, or combination thereof... except for one level that is called "wizard breach")

Splinter Zone spoilery!

@MOKKA @Salith@mastodon.social Ubisoft haven't a monopoly on the word splinter. It's okay :) Splinter Zone is a pretty cool name. Besides look at games like Gunpoint, or Heat Signature... where the name of the game barely, if at all, relates to anything in the game at all ^^;

Splinter Zone spoilery!

@MOKKA and you've been doing the latter, if that's not clear. ^^; You're perfectly fine, and not manipulating the system at all.

Splinter Zone spoilery!

@MOKKA Nah, you're safe. If you were offering the game for free for reviews, or some kind of incentive, THEN it'd be manipulating the system (*cough cough digital homicide cough cough cough*), but simply just saying "hey, look, if you played my game, please leave a review because it not only helps others find and play my game if you liked it, but also helps me have feedback to improve later games, and if nothing else just lets me know people have played it" is fine.

Splinter Zone spoilery!

@Salith@mastodon.social @MOKKA Splinter Zone, not Splinter Cell :) Splinter Zone is this game on steam, made by Eric here! store.steampowered.com/app/612 Good fun little retro platformer action game.

Splinter Zone spoilery!

@MOKKA it's no trouble at all! The game's criminally underrated and you deserve for it to be way more successful than it is, everyone involved in making it does. It's good fun and Steam says it's only got five reviews but it absolutely has more than that, it just won't display them all by default because Steam is an arse, and I'm hoping if there's at least one guide it'll get people more involved and trying it out.

Splinter Zone spoilery!

@MOKKA Cool. I'mma get to work on that then. ^^ Lotsa screenshotting coming up :o

Splinter Zone spoilery!

@MOKKA Would it be okay if I wrote a guide on the game or would you prefer people find out everything on their own? If so I can maybe make a guide on the game mechanics perhaps and how to properly control and what to look out for and such, without spoiling the secrets. ^^
