@lynnesbian i love the fact that the "blast processing" was literally the only edge the megadrive had over the SNES, tech-wise. In every other aspect it was inferior. It couldn't handle graphics better at all and sure the Yamaha FM Synth chip the Megadrive had could do WAY better electric guitar songs than the SNES's sample based playback could do... but yeah... hands down the SNES was better.

(I had a megadrive as a kid. I don't hate it, but I do wish I'd had a SNES maybe.)

@lynnesbian we both know they'll load Sonic Jam, Virtua Cop (1, not 2 of course), Virtual Hydlide, Shinobi Legions and Megaman X3 onto it.

oh they'll tease Guardian Heroes being on it, and Nights, but they won't actually do it.

that'll be on the Saturn Classic 2! ... which will never come out bepcause the Classic 1 sold nothing.

@daylight if I could draw I totally would but I'd be fucking up the shot hugely because I am TERRIBLE at these games. like literally I once slipped and gave it too much power and launched the cue ball right off the table and into the next room.

Like really, a lot of newer tech is basically "haha fuck you buy a new one if something breaks".

With odler tech at least you could repair it or fix it most of the time, or get a replacement part pretty easily and cheaply. Heck these days with 3d printing tech you'd think you'd be able to MAKE replacement bits, but nope. sealed units and system-on-chip bullshit.
