@a_breakin_glass @Kat@snouts.online speaking OF boardgames btw, if you can, check out Scythe. it's like if someone said "hmm, Risk has some interesting ideas, but it's all weighed down by the fact it's just NOT FRIGGIN FUN and it's too random, so let's make a game with some similar themes, but actually make it fun to play!" and believe it or not, it's genuinely, really, really fun, and good, and strategic, and REALLY well made.

@Kat@snouts.online to be honest I take comfort in the fact that Monopoly in all its forms is consistently, and endlessly reviled in board game circles, along with Risk, as two of the very worst boardgames ever created.

@Kat@snouts.online chance cards include "government scraps education and social security budgets in order to prop up the banks after they mismanaged the economy again lose your house"

...so the new animal crossing removed gender requirements for hairstyles and customisation options apparently and... while it's not getting to play as a cute animal critter, that... might actually be enough to get me to play it... huh.

here's the retail/release version of the Hangar theme youtube.com/watch?v=bfDhyBh6lK

and THIS is the Demo/Prototype Missions version: youtube.com/watch?v=DSTSm-Xa7u

Notice how the demo version has a far less refined melody, and also absolutely no chorus whatsoever or harmonisation. It's a very simple loop track.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online it still is wild to me to realise that after all these years ninty really DOES do what sega doesn't now.

ie: make consoles. and money. and games. c-c;

I KNEW it. I KNEW the hangar music in Daemon X Machina was different between the release version and the demo

@pup_hime Oh dang you started seeing the weird tentacle things on buildings in Yarnham yet?

honestly I think the only way I can describe Pop Team Epic is one of those ancient "what I watched what I expected what I got" memes.

so

what I watched: pop team epic
what I expected: excel saga
what I got: "WE CAN'T STOP HERE THIS IS BAT COUNTRY"

@elfi my brain just kinda exploded in episode 12, but also those shots of Pipimi and Popuko as more "standard" anime girls was kinda adorable and also just reinforced the fact they're a couple.

what the... i don't even ... what... the fuc... ia... wh... fu

what even the fuck is going on with this final episode

YEP EPISODE 9 JUST CONFIRMS IT PIPIMI AND POPUKO ARE LOVERS
