@a_breakin_glass @Kat@snouts.online speaking OF boardgames btw, if you can, check out Scythe. it's like if someone said "hmm, Risk has some interesting ideas, but it's all weighed down by the fact it's just NOT FRIGGIN FUN and it's too random, so let's make a game with some similar themes, but actually make it fun to play!" and believe it or not, it's genuinely, really, really fun, and good, and strategic, and REALLY well made.

@Kat@snouts.online to be honest I take comfort in the fact that Monopoly in all its forms is consistently, and endlessly reviled in board game circles, along with Risk, as two of the very worst boardgames ever created.
