@jk @envgen back when I was a kid i had a spectrum 128K +2 and I had a cover tape off a magazine that had a game called Butch Hard Guy and if you died in that game it brought up a screen saying that it would self destruct if the timer got to zero and you didn't press any button to continue.
I genuinely got anxiety that it would break my Spectrum if I didn't so any time I wanted to stop playing after I died, I'd press to continue then hit the reset button.
@jk holy shit this guys work is actual art. It is literally an audio version of abstract art. Like you could hear it and go "psh what is this bollocks it's just noise" but because it's all musical all the context is supplied with the piece itself, and so you get a clearer picture of the whole piece and its surrounding stuff all comes together.
it's chaotic, noisy, discordant and yet somehow makes wonderful harmonies as well. It's like if a collective dream decided "fuck it let's start a band"
@jk this is off to a fuckin' great start. it's weird as shit immediately but also really great to listen to and i love it
@jk no i don't think you understand this track is just... I LOVE EVERY PART OF IT SO FAR THERE ISN'T A SINGLE NOTE THAT I HAVEN'T LOVED AND ALL TOGETHER IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL HOLY SHIT.
@jk my first search hit was this and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zR463n7_yHg
FUCK IT'S ALREADY AMAZING OH MY GOD
@jk mods are asleep post gradients https://digitalsynopsis.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/beautiful-color-ui-gradients-backgrounds-relay.png
like, Parade from the Paprika OST is just... WOW it's weird. Using distorted, vocoded samples and cutting them and stitching them together in a glitchy synthetic acapella to make the main melody of the track is just... fuck it's just... so good???
Why does Susamu Hirasawa's music always have such a vibe to it.
Like, I know I haven't listened to much outside the few anime soundtracks he's done, but...
every bit of it, even if some are tracks I don't like as much, all are just... really fascinating pieces of art in their own right. Weird, harmonic, abstract pieces, that nonetheless evoke powerful emotions and feelings.
@Ivafakename i mean, does anybody truly know what a landlord is or does?
