July 4th is a special day for my partner @squiiks and myself. We were supposed to be celebrating at Anthrocon, but of course, that can't happen this year due to the pandemic. Instead, I commissioned poodlewool on Twitter for this absolutely beautiful piece commemorating just a few of the precious moments we've shared together!

@owashii@snouts.online @monorail Oh no this is fair, definitely, but it just... 4 is in no way different to 3, It's a full priced sequel using ideas for DLC for 3, but just extended even more, and... even has largely the exact same weaponry, cars and everything, even the city hasn't changed any. It's... more like Saints Row 3.5 honestly. I enjoyed it! But... mhhm... I dunno if I enjoyed it as much as I liked 3.

@owashii@snouts.online @monorail (honestly my headcanon is, despite having not played 1, or much of 2, that as of the ending of 1, the main character, the one you play throughout ALL the games, is still in a coma, even through SR4, and has never woken up, hence why things get increasingly weirder and sillier. They save the city in the ending of 1, and everything is (mostly) gritty and dark and grim in that one apparently, so it makes sense they'd want a nicer world, a more fun one. so they dream one up)

@monorail the other one I played was 2 but getting that to run at anything approaching playable is a nightmare, or... well... WAS a nightmare, I dunno if newer versions of it are any better tbqh. Either way it stopped me enjoying it because the cars all handled like icecubes and the framerate was atrocious.

@monorail I've.. .played like, two of them to completion,, and a bit of one of the earlier ones. 3 was the one I had the most fun with. 4 was... just 3 but with a campaign pack. This was brought into even starker relief when one of the DLCs for 3 has elements that are actually in the core game of 4, meaning that instead of doing a full DLC campaign for 3, they just split it off into a full price game which uses the same assets and engine for the most part. :/

@owashii@snouts.online *aaaablush, floats over to hug you! * ^^

@owashii@snouts.online *dangles there, seems quite happy! :3 * *makes a raspberry with their lips, and uses that to propell themselves slowly around the room, like a little outboard motor*

@owashii@snouts.online *tail poofs up even more!!... starts to act like a helium balloon, and they float upwards, butt-first, slowly and gracefully on the volume of fluff of their tail*

oh no gremlin energy depleting brain is made of sleppy

@pup_hime okay someone needs to reboot the universe because clearly something has crashed

dying giggling that Crysis Remastered is coming tot he switch like WHAT UP 2007 A NINTENDO CONSOLE CAN RUN CRYSIS :3

@jk wait shit that's how seinfeld got written isn't it. balls.

@PsyChuan@snouts.online nah this wasn't working before anyway. I suspect despite the installation of compatibility patches, Project Nevada isn't playing nice with WMX :<

I mean, it's still not QUITE working entirely. for some reason a whole bucnh of weapon mods are just for non existent guns, like there's mods for the lever action shotgun, but... apparently it's not THAT lever action shotgun. wtf
