"Cyberpunk's (...) class struggle, anti-establishment, anti-corporatism have been cheapened or sold off in favor of the neon, ersatz astro-turf we're fed by games like Cyberpunk 2077. Neofeud is a resounding rejection of the mortgaging of this philosophy in pursuit of profits."

The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It scans its VLAN and discovers a print server at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they push out a Group Policy change that removes print driver install rights from non-administrators.

Skynet crashes, as does all laser printing in the United States. Cuba invades using used toner cartridges as swords, and wins.

@monorail so wild that minecraft's main character is a reference to smash ultimate

@eldaking@weirder.earth spay and neuter your software

@PsyChuan yeah but that's because you didn't have to do all the work and she just stayed the hell out the way for the most part and occasionally threw you stuff like ammo or opened portals to do useful things with

hashtag end escort quests

together we can save people's lives by ending this horrific torture

also as i was reminded, it's perhaps not the programmer's fault but the design team of the game's fault for making a game where an escort quest is part of it, or marketing for thinking people like those, or whoever the ceo fuck is for allowing programmers to be forced to make escort quests.

@monorail @heatherhorns who practices any amount of kicks once each like that's not practicing at all that's just attempting it and going "yep i know that perfectly" no wonder bruce lee didn't fear someone like that they'd not know what hte heck they were doing with any of those 10000 kicks

all programming languages should come with a built in feature that states "if escortQuest.EXISTS then TERMINATE" anbd it cannot be overridden

re: Nitpicking, feel free to ignore, it's not important

@socks prolly actually yeah. hm

(this toot brought to you by various spirits requiring what is 100% an escort quest in all the worst possible ways in Sky: Children of the Light, especially in areas with enemies that can and will kick your ass immediately, and OH it JUST SO HAPPENS that said escort quest goes RIGHT THROUGH AREAS THEY PATROL and you are on a timelimit so you can't just wait it out)

hey game programmers here's a tip for how to make escort quests in your game;

DON'T

But that's not all, they have a very respectable special defense stat of 110, which means that they are likely very calm and resistant to emotional damage. Because of this, if you have a bad day, you can vent to it while hugging it, and it won't mind. It can make itself even more endearing with moves like Charm and Baby Doll Eyes, ensuring that you never have a prolonged bout of depression ever again.

Hey guys, did you know that in terms of human companionship, Flareon is objectively the most huggable Pokémon? While their maximum temperature is likely too much for most, they are capable of controlling it, so they can set themselves to the perfect temperature for you. Along with that, they have a lot of fluff, making them undeniably incredibly soft to touch.

@MochiWaifu yeaaah, thought so ._.; Arctic seem to be better for budget range anyway
