my brain this morning: hey, hey, wanna hear a song?
me, slowly waking up: mngh, wha?...
my brain: *starts humming the tune to Opsblaaskrokodil by Ome Henk without the words*
me: *frowning, recognising it, but not able to place it, trying to remember it, slowly dredging through memories*
my brain: :)
me: *uncovering the last memories from a huge dusty pile in their mind* Oh! Oh I think I know what this is! It's fro-OH GOD NO PUT IT BACK AAAA
my brain: :) too late :) *animutation flood!*

oh no brad and bread are now the same word in my brain heck

Fediverse, TERFs, birdsite, block rec

Graham Linehan has set up his own fedi server, because people are making TERF hate speech so unwelcome on twitter. It's glindr.org/

Remember this if you see "glindr" popping up, and block accordingly

private health insurance stuff

#PrivateHealthLIFEhacks actually we can think of a few notes, about prescriptions

get your prescription refills before it's super necessary if you can, so that you don't run low, and so that you have a buffer if you need to argue price with the pharmacist.

also: discuss prices with your pharmacist. ask if that's with insurance, for example. there are some things, like GoodRx here goodrx.com/ that provide free coupons that drop the price of uninsured medication by a lot, and sometimes, that price drop can literally be more than insurance saves you if you're able to be on private insurance. it's very good to keep an eye on if those or something similar will pop up local to you.

uk pol inspired private health insurance stuff over on twitter

over on twitter, Imani Barbarin started posting #PrivateHealthLIFEhacks, which is a hashtag for the disabled community in the US (mostly) to spread info about getting by with private health insurance

twitter.com/Imani_Barbarin/sta

we'd defs recommend posting stuff here (we'd post things ourselves if we knew anything) and do check out the tag over on twitter

however, Skatebird looks fun as shit so I'm still probs gonna check it out, especially on Switch.

the Skatebird demo was really hard to control and I'm not sure if that's just me not having gotten to grips with this steam controller yet or what. also steam why is your layout weird for the buttons why this is very weird of you

so the System Shock Remaster demo is... good? but holy fuck none of the audio options work or do anything (including subtitles it seems) so voices get drowned out by the music and the fuckloud sound effects, there's no brightness options and everything is fucking pitch black, it's really unclear what you're meant to do to proceed and it's got massive performance issues even on lowest settings, but...

damn that's atmospheric and it looks good.

open.spotify.com/playlist/4Cq8 re: UK news, one of the last few times something like this happened I put together this Spotify playlist to help me through the day. Maybe it'll be of some use to some of you today.

Art of my fursona, with junk and nipple bulges but its not like porn.

Forgot that I got to watch the rugby world cup in a REALLY nice Italian restaurant in Japan on our last couple nights there.

I was NOT expecting two things about it:
1) even the Japanese would get rowdy as hell about their team doing amazingly well in the sport.
2) that I would genuinely enjoy watching the rugby. It was the Japan Vs Scotland match and oh my GOD the Japanese players were AWESOME. I wish they had won to be honest, they played like hell out there.
