To clarify, for anyone unsure, heteronormativity is the assertion that being straight and cis are defaults and everyone who doesn't fit that description is a deviation from "normal".
On the other hand, various queer identified people (such as bi, trans, and ace), can be in heterosexual relationships but this does not erase their identity.
And even for cishet people in straight relationships, it's not necessary to be heteronormative.

You may very well need to badger the hell out of your certificate provider, masto.host would be the one to do it on if you use their service.
Even if you don't use letsencrypt this could cause issues with federating with other instances. Anyway, good adminining

A group known as "fightbigtech" has been creating a ton of spammy instances full of rightwing agitprop.
Here's a list of the ones I could find:

I would recommend general suspicion of any .icu domain, seeing as they're cheap — don't autoblock them, but perhaps check their content if they show up.
