@sophia @spookywitch i ran a gab instance for a little while to see what's going on with them. they're monetizing it by making you pay for a pro account to invite people, post webms and other videos, use custom emoji, etc. it's the most thinly veiled scam i've ever seen.
they also added a bunch of bitcoin payment stuff because of course

Also I love all three streets of rage games, but bare Knuckle 3 had a way better story than sor3 did... That said the Ash boss fight is just garbage and a half and I'm glad it's not in sor3. Ugh.

Oh yeah turns out I accidentally deleted all my megadrive ROMs. Good job me. I had to find and download them all again... Though I did manage to translate a few new ROMs with up to date patches (sailor moon another story, trouble shooters vintage, a "complete" patch for streets of rage 3 etc), and I also cleared out a few games I'm likely never to play much if at all.
