reminder that FF7 (the original one) had a scene in the Gold Saucer where you could take part in the play and at the pivotal moment where you're meant to kiss Aeris/The Princess to defeat the dragon etc, you can choose to either A: Kiss the King, or B: kiss the Dragon instead (which is obviously the only CORRECT answer).
but the game pulls a cheap shot and instead turns the dragon into a girl like you've "broken the curse" and I'm like "I goddamn made my choice, game, don't friggin ruin it."
okay I actually just found the BEST mermaid movie, Miranda (1948)
...in which a mermaid kidnaps an English doctor and makes him take her back to London in disguise. Then she uses the same pickup lines on every man available and after they all leave their various girlfriends and fiancées for her she's like "lol you humans are so funny, I'm leaving" and returns to the ocean to have one of their babies (we don't know whose). Fucking iconic.
local timeline for cf is so good. i like this instance. i can boost stuff here on the local timeline I find funny and good and cute and wonderful and fun and not worry that it's some awful person because, heck, they're on cf, how could they be awful?
I mean obviously someone might in the future slip through but so far so good, we're all lovely here, and I know maple wouldn't let anybody awful in here willingly or knowingly because maple is a good squobit <3
also these cds are all ripped. even though half of these double cd compilations didn't exist as far as freedb was concerned and the ripper/tagger program I was using didn't use anything BUT Freedb (which I don't MIND so much just... I mean I guess it's not like Gracenote is at all that good either tbqh, but still) so I had to manually tag each of the songs and add artists and song names and
ugh
uugghhh there's so much music I hate on these ;;
@Nine hell yeah there's no one way to do it right, just be what makes ya feel good!
My artwork "Aquatic Archaeology" was inspired by the inside of an IKEA lamp. https://www.deviantart.com/sylviaritter/art/Aquatic-Archaeology-644529573 #art #illustration #mastoart
The dragon perched, proud and strong, on its craggy lookout.
Far below its gaze, the princess stared up anxiously.
"You're always a steady rock."
The dragon lowered its horned head slightly.
"You don't have to be tough."
The dragon lowered its head further.
"You're allowed to be soft as calcite, or restive as sand sometimes."
The dragon nestled its heavy head into her resolute hands.
"You don't have to be the protector all the time."
yeah i'm moving over to chitter.xyz now. Soooo go there! I'm there now.
