@Kat mark rosewater of magic the gathering, who is very much not an artist, did art for one of the cards in one of the joke sets (literally in crayon). because of ~legal reasons~, even though he didn't care, the company had to pay him for the art, so he said "i'll sell the art to the company for one dollar".
when it actually came time to do the payment, they asked if they should just give him a $1 bill or add it to his paycheque or what, and he insisted on being given a specific, $1 cheque.
"why?"
"because i'm going to frame it and hang it in my living room"
and the accountants were furious that he wasn't even going to cash it and their books would never be balanced again, but there was nothing they could do

cutting tool cold take
if your reason for carrying a pocket knife is "to cut seatbelts in an emergency" you don't want a pocket knife. you want shears or a strap cutter.
seatbelts are tough. that's like their whole deal.
safely cutting a seatbelt someone is entangled in is HARD without the right tools. especially under stress. especially without practice.
if you DO want to be able to cut straps in an emergency.... practice? like a bunch? scrap seatbelt is cheap. spend 20 minutes. slice it up!
