Playing through a lot of ZZT games is fun, but it feels kind of sad at the same time
So many of these games are steeped in their own culture, a culture that's now long, long past.
And here I am, watching the friendships, the shoutouts, the in-jokes all play by in front of me
All from people who have likely drifted apart over a decade ago
@woob When I got into MegaZeux I found a lot of the ZZT and MZX in-jokes from years past funny without having been there myself, and that's where the ill-advised *bash commands in my IRC bot came from.
One of the things I make sure to preserve when upgrading from computer to computer is my backup of a music album of ZZT IRC quotes sung over a guitar.
