Extended the Maffi portrait out into a full body thing and now I guess I have a good enough reference to try and commission some pics. Also scanned the plug on my SNES mouse so any artists don't have to resort to Google Images.

How's this hair style look? I'm thinking it might be nice to make the top part a bit smoother instead, but it looks kinda nice slightly jagged like this.

It's good! I have a bunch more sausage left over though so I have to either bake more pizzas or devise some use for them. Maybe they work as meatballs for pasta?

Gonna make sausage pizza for the first time! I'm tired of pepperoni so this should be great.

Food

I made an old favorite which is effectively a baked cheeseburger. It involves making a ketchup+onion+salt+pepper mixture which is then baked with the meat and it's way better than any burger I have grilled.

Recoloring some Nova the Squirrel tiles to see how they look. Probably need a more specialized palette with more shades per-color then DB32 has but I think it's nice so far.

Tweaked the walk animation I'm working on a little bit to have more sleeve movement and to reduce the amount of time kept at the idle state.

It was really bugging me that there was no way to tell what's in a level slot in Nova the Squirrel without opening it first, so I added the ability to choose a name when saving to a slot.

I really want to get a picture of Maffi now that I have my first paycheck and I'm going to have to figure out what artist to go with. If anyone has any recommendations for that I'd love to hear them.

One thing I need to figure out is what her hair style should look like. I messed around with a fursona maker to decide colors and such, and I think what I picked out looks alright but it'd be nice to have a second opinion. (Also included my own attempts at copying it)

Food

"Serving suggestions" are wild and I can tell that usually they're not anything like how you'd reasonably serve the product. Serve pineapple slices stacked on top of each other with no plate and with whole pineapples nearby so your guests know what they're eating, if it was unclear.

After a lot of work, I think I have a decent enough walk cycle (at least as far as the legs go), but I'm gonna have to re-add the dress and figure out how the fabric should move during the walk. Also probably animate the arms and tail, maybe the head somehow?

Working on some potential protagonist graphics for Nova the Squirrel 2. I want to have really elaborate cartoony animations on top of the cutesy style.

Trying some potential title screen stuff based on tracing over pencil art from earlier. It's looking a lot better than trying to do it purely with placing down pixels.

At least for today, it's warm enough to walk outside in shorts and there are squirrels scampering about!

Quick sketch of a mouse I talk to sometimes named Riza. I guess through this and other instances of it I'm establishing that in my style, when eyes overlap hair, the eyes don't get covered up entirely.

Practicing side-view perspective, and most of the hard part seems to be making sure the curve from the face to the muzzle is just right

I'm very surprised this wasn't the very first thing I did after getting an Amiga emulator set up

Fortunately for old computer OS news I was able to find and boot the Windows 98 virtual machine I'd created years ago
