I certainly don't want to neglect the terrible things going on. But the world actually is moving in the right direction. Fewer people live in extreme poverty today than when I was born. Somehow I feel that saying the 'world is going wrong' is a little bit ignorant and somehow 'The West' devaluing all of the people lifted out of extreme poverty. We can actually eliminate extreme poverty in our lifetime!
