like on a game dev level it seems like it'd be a lot of fun to work on but also i'd love writing the absolutely batshit backstories for the racers
most importantly, it's making the whole process of aligning uvs across several meshes wayyy easier, so, that's cool,
probuilder does look a lot closer to what i'm used to (which is hammer, for better or worse)
im still working on this dream simulator game but im hitting a wall re: making textures on separate models match up perfectly (or at least well enough that players wont notice when they're teleported from one room to another
maybe i'm approaching scene creation wrong? maybe i should be using probuilder?? hmmm

today in #gamedev: turns out parenting stuff to an imported .fbx model is a bad idea - it didn't occur to me that the scaling and rotation would apply to all children of the model and now i'm having to fix all the positions, which got all screwed up by rounding errors
thankful for our cradle's graces, but we're not coming back
