how the fuck do i unit test a discord bot

we've had this emoji on the server for like 3+ years... finally he is revealed to us all

i think my design goal for this thing is to make a bot that makes any server it's added to worse

i like that i gave my bot the ability to post random buffstuff images as a joke and it's somehow become the second most used feature

still adding functions to my bot

none of them are useful

creating a new debian-based linux distro and calling it transbian

like. its reliant on node, and i want to bundle it up so i can have 2 other things im working on use it, so i feel like from that alone i feel like it should be a node package, but also i don't want to put it on npm because it's probably useless to anyone but me specifically, but i can install packages from my own machine,

debating over whether the module i'm working on should be formatted as a node package or not, turning my brain into awful sludge,

the code's still a total shit mess but i got impatient and hacked it into my bot anyway

gonna clean this up into an actual module later cos the code is a complete shit mess

nvm im running an async function in the loop so i guess that's why This Shit is happening

time to learn how this new promise shit works i guess

for loops anyway, i thought it was just forEach but im getting the same behaviour from a standard for loop

very quickly learning that all loops become async when running under node

or at least it seems that way

after wrestling with imagemagick for a couple hours i got it to stick 2 gifs together

now i need to make it do this via javascript,
