hmmm.... if i set ricty as the default monospace font it's. kinda small. not sure fontconfig can help me there tho so for now im just setting everything to noto and going back to pissing about with my awesome wm config, since setting everything to noto has uh, kinda broken that a little,

turns out "sans" is deprecated and should've been "sans-serif",

shit works now.

like i do "fc-match -s monospace" and there's all kinds of shit in there, like there's a million latex fonts in there that have absolutely no business being in there, what the fuck

realising my fontconfig is all fucked up

is this just. how this shit is for everyone?

been studying with the kanjidamage deck for just under 6 months now and im finally learning the kanji for "5",

i know it appeared roughly this way in old screenshots ive posted but that was done by cheating (ie. baking the centring into the taglist square image itself) - this way is much more robust

oh yea i managed to get the taglist squares centred in the end, all i had to do was rewrite the entire taglist widget template,
