But, I really like touch, and feel a lot of starvation. Because of the above, even with overtly/openly affectionate people i feel extremely paranoid, and default to keeping distance.

Things that really help: Clear permission ("You can sit with me", "we can snuggle", etc.), or taking the lead if you know me well.

Dating, poly, melancholy

Guy contacted me half an hour before I left work yesterday to say he forgot an important family event was the same time as our date. Was apologetic and said we'll have to reschedule, but has not gotten back to me yet on that front.

I feel kind of silly for getting kinda melancholy over this considering I've only known him for less than a week, but I'm starting to think I really like him and really want to see him again. Worried about coming on too strong though.
